Why do children need art education?
When we educate children in the arts, we provide them
another way to communicate their ideas and comprehend their world. Art
links us to other cultures, other times, other neighborhoods. Analyzing
and interpreting fine art fosters higher level thinking skills that help
children understand and evaluate the myriad visual images that surround
them. Exposure to art enhances their ability to become flexible,
innovative and creative individuals.
